Last month I participated in the #sewphotohop on my knitting and sewing IG profile @bobbinbombshellknits. Each day was a different sewing related topic to share a photo for. Some of which were craft room or studio shots. Inspired by sharing my little space, I decided to compile some studio photos for this month's Behind the Scenes post!
I'm lucky to have a small room in my Brooklyn apartment where I make Bobbins and Bombshells happen. I use my studio space to sew, create, keep organized, store my inspirational books and patterns, and do all of my computer and admin work.
If only my desk looked like this everyday! In NYC space is a premium, so I find ways to maximize my little room. My yarn stash is in the bin under the desk. If you look close you can see that I can hardly close it- man I have a lot of knitting to do! My sewing machine and serger stay on my desk- there is nothing worse than having to put your machines away when not in use. My husband built my shelf and ribbon holder- so sweet!
Behind the desk is my bookshelf. There I keep my fashion and knitting books, sewing patterns, and shipping supplies. My mannequins watch over me to make sure I get my work done. Apparently, they don't know who's boss!
My studio is certainly nothing fancy, but I do get to work from home which is great! I have just enough space and a window filled with flowers. What more can I ask for?
