My Projects: Red Drop Stitch Cowl

My Projects is my place to  share my craft as I attempt to make a handmade wardrobe.

January and February is my time of year to work on knitting and crochet projects for myself (and others) as opposed to my shop and custom/wholesale orders. I get to play with new patterns, stitches, yarns (attack that stash!) and add to my handmade wardrobe!

With that said, I'm happy to finally be able to share a finished project with you all!

Pattern: Drop Stitch Cowl (free on Ravelry)

Yarn: Plymouth Yarn- de Aire in color 2060  Bethlehem. 100% Merino. Super Bulky.

*Sad to report after this yarn sat in my stash for a year, that is now being discontinued. Of course I discovered that I love this yarn! It is super soft and lofty. Not to mention very warm!

Craft: Knitting

Needles: Size 15 (10.0 mm)

Verdict: I love this pattern! Super easy and quick. Took  two half days. If you're super fast or not distracted by TV, this could be done in an afternoon. The long drop stitches give it a great texture and the bulky yarn just flies of the needles. Perfect pattern for quick gifts or a quick project to complete while you work on a long term project.
