Shop News: Deauville Tote and Céret Purse

EDIT: Please visit my new site ATELIER DE LAPORTE for sewing and knitting workshops and all things handmade.

New handmade items have been listed in the shop! I've been busy revamping the handmade selection to include retro inspired handbags and purses to complement your vintage wardrobes! The result, two new handbag styles in two colors that are perfect for your spring/ summer/ resort style!

Deauville Tote

Named after the resort town where Coco Chanel once frolicked this is the Deauville Tote! Hand crocheted and completely lined in a striped linen reminiscent of the beach cabanas. The handle is striped linen as well. Available in Natural and Dandelion

Céret Purse

A few years ago I made myself a fat bottom bag with cherries on it. I don't know why it took me so long to make them for the shop. Thankfully, I finally did! Crocheted in a sturdy but soft wool and holds a lot more than it seems! This purse is complete with bamboo handles and TWO crochet pins; cherries or a bow! You get to choose how you want to wear it! The Céret Purse is named after a charming town in France known for its cherries! Available in Dandelion and Natural.

I had a lot of fun choosing fabric for the linings! The Natural Céret Purse is lined in a green floral Liberty cotton print. The Dandelion is lined in a vintage calico cherry print. I can't decide which I like best!

Which one is your favorite?
