I don't want summer to end but it's time to get organized for back to school. The learning never stops and if you're thinking of learning a new skill or sharpening the ones you already have registration is open for my Fall sewing and knitting workshops! All are in New York City and Brooklyn. Here is where you can find me teaching:

Kids Crafts: Wearable Arts + Textile Design: Ages 7-10. TUESDAYS Sept. 5 -Jan. 16 // 3:45pm-4:45pm.
Is your child creative, with his or her own personal style? This class will introduce children to the fun of fiber arts, including knitting, crocheting, embroidery, hand sewing, weaving, and much more. Young artists will spend time learning techniques for each material, which they will then use to create one-of-a-kind accessories and artwork.
In this introduction to knitting, students will learn the basics, from casting on to binding off, with simple stitches in between to create a scarf, hat, baby blanket, and more. All supplies included.
Knitting in the Round - Drop Stitch Cowl: Adults. TUESDAYS Oct. 10- Oct. 24.// 6:30pm-9:00pm
Building on the skills learned in Basics of Knitting, students will learn to make a fashionable and cozy cowl scarf to wear all winter long. The drop-stitch cowl is knit in the round with a decorative open stitch. Supply list will be emailed in advance. Prerequisite: Basics of Knitting or comparable knowledge.
Knitted Gifts- Baby Blanket: Adults. TUESDAYS Nov. 14- Nov. 28.// 6:30pm-9:00pm
Do you find that you want to make baby gifts instead of buying them? Hand-knit baby blankets make a special and personal gift to swaddle your nearest and dearest. This class builds on the skills learned in Basics of Knitting. Supply list will be emailed in advance. Prerequisite: Basics of Knitting or comparable knowledge.
Sewing - Mastering the Basics: Adults. WEDNESDAYS Nov. 29- Dec. 20. // 6:30pm-9:30pm
Change the whole look of your living room or bedroom by swapping out the pillows and making your own. This workshop will be a good introduction to sewing for beginners. The pillows are mainly sewn on a machine with some hand finishing. You will learn how to use and cut a pattern, use a sewing machine and various feet, attach piping, and slip stitch by hand. Limited space for enrollment. Supply list for fabric and notions will be emailed in advance.

Children and teens learn how to sew after school. They have creative control and learn a brand new skill set! Materials are included!
