It all started with an excess of quarter inch elastic! I soon became inspired to create bridal garters that had a softness and vintage look. All handmade bridal garters are composed of a mixture of vintage and new materials including laces, satin, and velvet. With each one I hope to create a special piece that can become an heirloom. Most of my garters are sold in sets, keep one- toss the other! I hope to expand to more bridal accessories in the future.
Not a bride? Wear these Flapper style to keep up your stockings. Handmade bridal accessories are available in the shop.
I've always been an avid vintage collector, wearer, and fashion history buff. If I find a special piece, I can't help but grab it! I can't keep it all, unfortunately, so lucky for you I share my collection in the shop.
1920s-1980's women's wear is my specialty. Clothing, lingerie, handbags, wedding, shoes, and designer items fill the shop weekly.
I strive to use high quality all natural materials and hand knit or crochet all items myself. While acrylic fibers are cheaper, they are not good for the yarn spinner, the knitter, or the wearer so I avoid man-made materials. Favorite yarns are Merino wool, Peruvian wool, Pima cotton, and more!
Hand knits are special in this day and age and should be hand washed. Use cool water and a delicate wash. Dry flat. I recommend Eucalan, Soak, or The Laundress.
Handmade knits are available in the shop year round. They are also available for wholesale. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org for line sheets.
